GREETINGS!
THANK YOU to all of those who attended this year’s NIETOC in Omaha, Nebraska. We are grateful that so many of you joined us for a great weekend of competition.
CONGRATULATIONS to all participants in the 2019 NIETOC tournament. Sharing your own stories and those of your characters makes the world a better place and reminds us all that words matter!
BRAVO to all the coaches and judges who do such amazing and important work impacting the lives of these students.
CHEERS to Sabrina Denney Bull and Jackson Gzehoviak of Millard North and their team of students and parents for being incredibly gracious hosts. A special shout-out to Viji Purushothaman and the American Desi dancers for creating a fantastic Bollywood number for our awards ceremony. We also appreciate the leadership of Principal Brian Begley, who is a constant supporter of competitive speech and debate.

The application to become a 2019-20 Bid Tournament is
available here
and is due by
June 10
. A reminder that the $50 charge for this is waived if the host school was a bid school last year AND attended the 2019 tournament. Take a few minutes to do this if you host a tournament, and if there is a lack of bid tournaments in your area or region, please encourage the directors of tournaments you attend to apply for a bid as well.
